Louise has a background in gymnastics and yoga. Circus skills were a natural progression for her, seeking new types of physical expression with a strong creative aspect. After her discovery of circus, she attended regular classes in tumbling, handstands, contortion, adagio, clowning, and aerials. Her love for vertical arts grew, and so did her own personal practice. As well as seeking out private classes with high level aerial artists, including former Cirque de Soleil trapeze artist, Olga Sidorova. Louise attended national training with the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, as well as Aerial performance workshops with Dancing in the Air in Sydney. She has trained internationally in San Fransisco at the Circus Centre, and in Germany at the Katokomben Performing Arts Centre. She has also attended the Tasmanian Circus Festival and the Lunar Circus festival, to further her skills as a teacher and performer on multiple occasions.
Louise wrote, produced and directed her first circus show ‘Cats on Curtains’ in 2015, which was staged locally in Cairns and highly acclaimed. Followed by her second production ‘Forbidden Fruit’ aerial show which was a sell out show in 2022.
Louise has more than 12 years’ experience, teaching and performing. She has performed at a range of events including corporate events, cabaret shows, local theatre productions and music festivals.
